Profile

Robin Zebaida's 30+ year career in voice work began in radio, first in Hong Kong for RTHK Radio 4, then later in London for LBC, and as a newsreader and presenter for the BBC World Service. As well as news reading and continuity, his radio work has encompassed anchoring, outside broadcasts, interviewing and reviewing. He has also devised and presented his own programmes on fine music.

Alongside radio, Robin Zebaida is a highly experienced voiceover artist, at home with adverts, corporate training videos, educational recordings for schools, exhibition audio guides, audio books, inflight entertainment, film dubbing and animation.

As both a graduate of the University of Oxford, and a BBC newsreader in the 1980s & 90s, Robin Zebaida's vocal qualities have been described as "warm, calm, rich, authoritative, educated, engaging and intelligent", but above all they are versatile! An unending variety of character voices from the zany to the sublime, with accents and pitches to match, is readily available and can be briefly sampled here.

As well as his native English, Robin Zebaida has good working use of French and German along with useful knowledge of several other foreign languages. A professionally trained musical ear enables him to imitate almost any sound with consummate ease. He has been described as a pleasure to work with due to his dedicated but easy-going and helpful nature.
